Hello, and welcome to our website. Before I get rolling with my article on Article Marketing For Newbies. Let me start by explaining who I am, and why you really need to read this article if you are even thinking about article marketing for an extra buck!

My name is Pete, my friends at the “Wealthy Affiliate University” also know me as Slugger_mn. If you haven’t heard of me before now that’s OK I am happy to introduce myself. I am one of the two creators of a program called “The Evolution Of A Sale”. This video series has helped hundreds of people to date (Mainly “Newbies”) get their start in article marketing. I personally have coached beginners for awhile now, and have helped many other beginners make their first dollars in article marketing as well! So needless to say, I know my stuff when it comes to making some money article marketing.

Now, on to article marketing for Newbies!

I am going to teach you a few good pointers when it comes to article marketing. First things first, you need to get your content onto a high page rank site! This is of the up most importance! Why is it so important?  It is so important to get your content on a high page rank website because Google likes to list high page rank content a lot higher the content on a website with lower page rank.

So how do you list your content on a high page rank site? This wouldn’t be “Article Marketing For Newbies” if I didn’t tell you!

There are many, many, many ways to list your content including YOUR link on websites that have high page rank. One thing you might want to try is using a website called,
Articlesbase.com.  This website and Google are having a full on love affair right now, and you can use their love affair to your advantage if you like! All you have to do to use this free website is set up an account, and begin posting what are called “articles”. Once you post your article to articlesbase.com wait ten minutes and go look on Google. Your content should be floating around the first page of results instantly!

Have you ever noticed that websites offer to give you something for your email address, and name? Why do they ask? What is in it for them?

In case you haven’t noticed already, we are offering to give you a free eBook that will teach you how to make money from nothing online. But why do you have to give us your email address, and your name?

Now, granted that every website out there has its own agenda, many of them simply want to send you their newsletter, and as a person interested in what certain websites have to say. YOU SHOULD WANT TO RECEIVE THE NEWSLETTER! Why? Simply because many website owners are very familiar with the content, and information they provide on their websites. When new and interesting things pop up, they want to be able to notify you because you showed interest in what ever topic their website is about.

For Example:

On this very website, “DontBuyThatYet.com” we offer you a start to Internet Income education. But, there are always new educational courses and products becoming available every day. With the good ones come the bad! So we want to continue to offer “You” the visitor of our website with new and useful reviews of these products!  To get off on the right foot, we are happy to give away a step by step guide to taking your first steps to making an income online, or otherwise called “Online Business”.

Many websites have great information, that many people are excited to receive. However, with the good comes the bad.

So what do the naughty websites do with your information?

This is known as “the dark side” of Internet Marketing. We call it that because the people that have the ability to build websites, and get many visitors to them use this ability to abuse peoples email privacy.

So how do they abuse your email privacy?

There are a few ways that “the dark side” will abuse your information and trust. One popular method is to gather all of the leads (leads are what sales people call your name and email once your information is in their system) and sell them to the highest bidder. This is rude beyond belief because your email will become swamped with every offer imaginable. You will receive emails only trying to get you to buy something from them, and it will come from someone that you do not even know, or have never heard of!

Another way they like to abuse your trust is to send you all of these offers themselves! They love to do this for some reason, and it is also very rude because you gave them your email under the understanding that they would send you useful information for a topic or niche that you have a lot of interest in. When they just simply send you a link to buy something, well needless to say that doesn’t really help anyone but the a-hole sending you the link.

So what should you do? Should you just ignore all email opt-in opportunities that come up?

If you ask me, I would say 100% NO. You do not want to just ignore all of the valuable useful knowledge that becomes available to you once you opt-in just because of a few bad eggs! I have opted-in to a few lists that have given me the knowledge to earn more money then I ever though possible with my online business. I never would have seen all of that free knowledge that came my way if I hadn’t opted-in.  So opt-in because if they abuse your information, you can easily opt-out, or just click “Spam” in your email. Both of which will stop you from seeing their emails again!

Over all, good or bad?

In my conclusion, and sorry to keep it kind of short here, but I have a ball game to get too(:  I would opt-in to websites you feel have good quality information on them. If they have something you are looking for, or interested in learning more about, opt-in. See what they send you, and opt-out if you do not like it. After you opt-out, they are not able to send you any more emails because the mass email submitter will not allow it! So you are safe(:

Learn More About The Wealthy Affiliate University! The biggest online community of Internet Marketers making money online today!

Getting your website on Google is easy, so how do you do it?

First things first, let me be clear about what I mean when I say “website”. I do not necessarily mean that you have to own your own website, you can get pretty much any webpage indexed that you like fairly fast!

So how is this done?

First you have to take your “URL” which you will find in the address box at the top of your page. That is what you are trying to get indexed, we call that a “domain name”. Now, once you have that domain name, you will want begin what is called backlinking. (Backlinking means a link posted on a separate website, to your website)  The more backlinks you have out on different websites the faster, and the higher your website gets ranked on Google!

That is not all of course!

Now, once your website gets indexed you will want it to show up where the people are that will be interested in what you have on your website. This is going to improve the amount of time that people stay on your website, and also increase the chance of them purchasing something while they are there! It is just a fact(:

So how do you get your website where people will find it?

This is where things get a little tricky because there are so many right answers. Personally I use what is called “ancor text linking”, and I do a lot of it! So what is ancor text linking.

When I post my “Backlink” on a different website, I want to post it in an ancor text like that says the phrase I want it to show up under Google.

For Example:

If I wanted my website to show up under the keyword, (if I wanted my website to show up when someone types xxxxx)  ”the wealthy affiliate university” . I would write this one someone elses website.

“I learned everything I need to know about making money online from The Wealthy Affiliate University”

Do you see how I used the same “Keyword” that I want my website to show up under when someone types “the wealthy affiliate university” into Google?

Now, that is not the end of the road, we also want to make sure that when we are getting our website indexed under certain keywords, that relevant searches, and a fair quantity of them will occur every month. That way we are assured that our website that we worked so hard to make, both gets a lot of new traffic-visitors-customers every month, and that they will find what they are looking for when they come to your website!

In this article I am going to go over a little known fact that you will find out just as soon as you enter the marketing world!

First of all, and perhaps the first rule of thumb. Assume that who ever wrote the review is trying to sell you something!

That is right, as an educated Internet Marketer, I can honestly tell you that when you wish to earn one of the top positions on Google, you are going to have to work very hard. In other words, those reviews that you see when you type “such and such scam” into Google, yea that writer had to work very hard to get that article pushed up on Google. So, what does that mean exactly? Well, in the simplest way of wording it.. Follow the money! That’s right, the writer want you to buy something! Now, is this a bad thing?  Not alway, it really depends on the marketer that wrote the review. If the marketer that wrote the review is very well informed of the facts, and seems to have the right opinion about whatever scam they are writing about, then odds are that the marketer also did their research finding an alternative product for you to try that will help you!

So, how do you spot a scam?

One of the other first things you should do when trying to find out if something is a scam, look for these tell tail signs!

-They mention something about a pyramid

-They talk about re-selling the product itself

-They are not transparent (this means that you see little behind the curtains before you purchase)

-Do they stone wall you?

-Is there a “Real” customer support

-Can you contact some of the current customers, or past customers of the program?

-Do they offer you a refund within a reasonable time frame such as 30 to 60 days

-Do they over promise and under deliver on their sales page?

These are some of the tell tail issues that you see when spotting a scam!

The Maverick Money Makers scam is in fact a scam and here is why.

Just like every other scam out there, when you go to the website, you will have the unfortunate “Opportunity” of seeing some guys ugly mug staring you in the face. When you read what he has to say there you will read about how you are going to have the luxury of learning how to use certain methods in Internet Marketing, and he will explain how 2,475 people are already making thousands upon thousands of dollars selling things online that are not even theirs to begin with! WAHOO!!! Right? NO!!! STUPID !!! haha

First of all, this same person is responsible for several other scammy products VERY similar to this one. The Maverick Money Makers scam is actually his FOURTH scam now! Isn’t that a little interesting for those of you wondering about trying this product. You may want to reconsider.  You may have heard of a program called “Income Greed” this is one of the other more popular scams that this kind hearted thief has shed is ugly coat on the world of Internet Marketing. It is in fact people like this that give programs like The Wealthy Affiliate University a bad name, when in fact they are the REAL programs out there making a difference in peoples lives and business’.

Now I know what it is like to get your hopes up when you think you may have the answer to online success FINALLY! After all of the time I have spent online looking for just one simple way to make a profit, to keep my business going strong. When the rug gets yanked out from under your feet the fall can start to get a little old. Take a look at the link in this article, 30,000 ACTIVE members cannot be swayed to believe something as big as “real online income”. You will find a huge community of Internet Marketers that are ready to help you make money online, OTHER then just re-selling the course itself. The Wealthy Affiliate University offers so much training, I doubt you could ever finish it all even if you tried.  If that is your puff of smoke, and you are ready to give up the hunt, take a look and do what you gotta do!

A few more reasons why Maverick Money Makers is a Scam.

This is simple, training and proof of results. I challenge anyone to find me one single success story online of anyone that has had REAL success with the Maverick Money Makers scam. Do you want to know why I am confident that no one will challenge me? Because if they have a link on their webpage trying to sell it, they are only scamming them self. A product that only teaches you how to further your profit on the product itself is no good because the product will expire very quickly. This will leave whom ever bought in last with a nice fat bill, and a hurt bum!

I hope this helps you avoid the scam once again. I was sad that in all of my research I found ZERO professionalism.. That is something I am starting to see more often unfortunately. So when you are looking to avoid a scam, look for a little more transparency in the product and its results! This is the only way to tell if you will end up in a good place after the product has been used by you!

Would you believe me, odds are that statement is to broad, and I probably need to be more specific right?

Ok, lets try it again! What if I told you that the best way to make money online is to take action in the right direction!

We are getting somewhere!

Let me be crystal clear now, and allow me the next 5 minutes of your time to explain how making money online is not something to be afraid of at all. You have nothing to lose!

Ok, first I need to get you caught up, this will help me explain what it is that I do with my time every single day that helps me earn my entire income(:

First of all, you must understand a small amount about buisiness! Whether you think you already do or not, follow along so I can point out the more important aspects of business that you will need to know to make money online. Now, usually every single transaction means a lot of different things have to take place correct? Yes! By the time you make a purchase as a customer, the merchant or vendor as we call it has already taken the time to get that product to you so that you could purchase it. That is what I will refer to as a “tangible sale”. (Tangible meaning something that is physical, and you can touch it)  This is a transaction that you will often times run across when you enter a local store.

What happens when you buy something online?

Now, when you buy something online, the merchant or the vendor needs a little more help to make those transactions happen. So this is going to be a little different then what you are used to seeing when you are in a store buying a tangible item. I personally sell mostly what are called online as “digital items” or “downloadable items”. (In fact, if you have ever purchased a program that has helped you with your iTunes, odds are, I made money on that transaction!)  Now, does this mean that I personally own iTunes, or the iTunes cleanup programs? NOPE! I actually do have several products of my own, but I am only an affiliate of these other downloadable programs.

So what is an affiliate exactly?

I am glad I asked(: haha

An affiliate is a person that will help the merchant or vendor make a transaction happen! What does this mean?  Well, to be very basic, many times as a merchant or a vender (meaning the supplier of a product) they will allow a certain percentage of the products profit go to the affiliate for helping make the sale!

Example:

I own a downloadable program that will solve a problem.

An affiliate knows how to find people many people with that particular problem!

The vendor agrees to pay the affiliate half of the $30.00 cost of the program for every program sold by the affiliate!

This means that the vendor, and the affiliate split the $30.00. The affiliate will get $15.00, the vendor will get $15.00.

Now, why would anyone do this?  It is actually very simple! Vendors-merchants need help selling their products online. They see any sales made by the affiliate as a sale that would have otherwise not have happened! So they are very happy to earn an extra $15.00 per sale! Just like the vendor sees it this way, so does the affiliate, the affiliate says to himself/herself that they had no product to sell otherwise, and is grateful to earn the 50% commission for his/her troubles(:

What I just explained to you, is exactly what I do with my time every single day! Would you like to know a secret? I make a lot of money doing this, and there is no limit to the amount of sales you can make every single day, or how much money you are allowed to make!

I learned how to do this only 8 months ago, and I have been doing it full time ever since then, and so can you!

If I haven’t met you yet, and you are new to this website, let me start by introducing myself to you!  I am Pete, and I am a Co-Owner, and a Co-creator of the educational program that teaches beginners how to make a buck online, it is called “The Evolution Of A Sale” or otherwise know as “EOS”.

Real quick before I get into a story about The Wealthy Affiliate, I want to share with you who I am and what I do.

I am Pete as I said, and a while back I teamed up with Mike (the other owner of “EOS”). We teamed up to create “EOS” because we were completely sick of being scammed. I know that sounds a little odd coming from someone that may be trying to scam you for all you know. But let me shed some light one what I am talking about.

After I lost my entire income, and lively hood in 2008, (for more on that check out “The Review Junkies” tab at the top of the page) I worked some odd jobs for a little while to keep things going. I knew that these odd jobs wouldn’t give me the income I needed to support a family or even myself for that matter.  Shortly after that thought crossed my mind I started searching online for what I called “the real way to make money online”.

Knowing that I would get scammed, I didn’t give up, or run away from my computer screaming like a little girl.. I actually dove in head first hoping that what ever scam I ran into would lead me to the truth at some point. I was correct, and it did!

I joined The Wealthy Affiliate University right away as soon as I found it. I guess you could say that I knew right away I had found what I was looking for, and to me that meant REAL PEOPLE!  Real people that were doing it, making money online, paying there bills, and earning a very good life style for themselves. That is all that I had set out to find, and I found it in The Wealthy Affiliate University.

In case you didn’t guess it, I also found Mike (the co-creator of “EOS”)  at The Wealthy Affiliate.  They have a huge online community of Internet Marketers that are all helping each other out. That is actually how we crossed paths. Both Mike and I excelled at Internet Marketing right away, after only three months of being members of the W/A (Wealthy Affiliate) we had already been making good money, I personally had my first One Thousand Dollar month which is something that is very celebrated in the W/A community.

Now that you know a little bit more about me, lets talk about the W/A… What is The Wealthy Affiliate?

The Wealthy Affiliate is a large online community of Internet Marketers. After joining I quickly learned that they have anything and everything you are ever going to need if you want to make it. I personally was computer.. umm… “Computer Dumb” is what I call it… I was not good with computers at all when I joined the W/A. No matter, not at all, I jumped right in with their beginners courses, and fellow members that are always willing to help you if you need it. I honestly fit right in being that I am a decent person, and not only that I quickly became on of the W/A’s most active members. I love to coach people, and I love to make my methods available for beginners to use. I have helped many people along with Mike, I should say we have helped many beginners make their first sales online, and even have seen some of our “EOS” members make over One-thousand dollars already! All it takes is a little work in the right direction, and you can start to see the same thing happen in your life!

I always said to myself when I was a beginner, and I hadn’t yet found The Wealthy Affiliate, I said “as long as I find the right tools, and the right direction, I can make this work, I can make a good income”. Tonight is a nice crisp night in Minnesota where I reside! I just got home from a long nice walk, put my dog to bed (he is restless.. huh.. ) and am ready to talk about all of the wonderful things I thought about on my walk!

Tonight is going to be a good night! I have a real great topic I want to touch base on!

What is it?

BILLS! Haha

Raise your metaphorical hand if you hate paying bills! Mine is up I will tell you that much!

So, first question! Why on Earth do I always think about bills when I get two seconds to myself? I mean, in reality I really have the opportunity to think about anything I want to right? So why bills?!  Why IS IT ALWAYS MONEY I AM THINKING ABOUT!?

I wondered off on that thought tonight and here is what I came up with!

I am responsible… Yep.. there you have it! I am responsible, I guess that is another way of saying that I am kind of a self loathing nag… I mean, I am so “responsible” that even though I finally have enough money coming in from my online business, I still won’t spend money for fun… Just on bills.. BOOO!

I hate that a little bit, but to be honest it comes from NOT paying my bills at some point in my life. I hate the idea that there isn’t going to be enough money to pay my truck payment, or insurance or something like that! They even send me “Notifications!” can you believe that! haha

When you don’t pay your bills, you get late fees, and notifications, if you don’t pay them long enough you even get phone calls and someone will even come and knock on your door! HA! Are you kidding me?

So what is the solution? (You know me enough by now to know that I am going to hook you up with a solution right?)

There is one, there ARE many!

Here is what I recommend to you if you are one of those people that just simply is tired of walking their dog, and worrying about paying their bills.  Multiple forms of income.  I am telling you that there is nothing better to solve money problems then to start earning for yourself “Multiple forms of income”.

But How?

Here is what I personally do, please recognize that my inbox is full, and I can only do so much. I love to help, but I cannot do this for you, so you will have to do it for yourself. The information I am going to tell you now is not top secret information, or I would not be posting it on my high traffic website.  BUT, some of this information is my personal approach to making money.

First, let me say this!

If you believe you can, you can.. If you believe you cannot, you cannot.. If you agree, lets keep talking because I can help you pay your bills!

Now, lets pretend for a second that your bills are enemies! Enemies of your wallet we could even go so far as to say! (Haha)  Now, each “enemy” is ranked from 1 to 5, one being smallest bills, and five being the highest bills.

What we are going to do is kill off your enemies! Are you excited! ?

Good! I am(:

So, how do we kill off your enemies exactly?  Simple!

We are going to set up what is called a “money factory”. Each money factory you set up has a purpose! The purpose is to make enough money on one money factory to pay for one of your bills, or “enemies”.

For example:

Lets say that I have 4 bills every month. I have two “size 3″ enemies, one “size 4″ and one “size 5″.

Size 3 = $150 bill

Size 4 = $220 bill

Size 5 = $400 bill

(Wouldn’t that be nice to only have $770 worth of bills every month? haha)

Now, in order to kill off all of those enemies. You are going to have to set up enough money factories to cancel each one of those bills out!

How do you do this though? Can it even be done!?

YES! It can, and I just did it twice over, and want to know a secret? It only took me 6 months to do it. I set up my money factories using the Internet. I set up campaigns around products that I didn’t own, and sold them to people I have never met or talked to. This is called “Internet Marketing”.  Now, granted some of the campaigns were complete flops, but some were raging success stories! I like those ones the best of course.

Take a look under “The review junkies” tab and find out how you can learn what I learned, and where I learned it. Internet marketing is the cheapest way to start your own business and get your money factories set up fast!

If I haven’t already said welcome, or it is your first time sitting down and reading a post on our blog. Welcome!

There are a few great moments that I can recognize as being significant in my life. I promise you this is worth reading as I am about to explain how I started my new life after I lost TEN HOUSES, and well… pretty much everything else that I had worked so hard to get.

So, what are these great moments?

Well, right off of the bat, I can think of three great moments in my life. One, when I hit my first homerun…Two, when I bought my first house, and started to see what passive income really looks like! Three, when I lost my houses… ALL TEN OF THEM!

So wait? Why is number three.. well.. number three!?

Don’t get me wrong, I honestly wish I didn’t lose everything that I worked so hard to get. I had it all for a while there, I had ten houses and counting, I had two vehicles (I don’t need to say what kinds) and I had CASHFLOW!  I even had a nice gal that stuck by me when everything blew away with the wind of 2008.

Losing everything can really make you think about a few things you could have done better. But most importantly, it lite a fire under my “You know what” and I felt it deep inside of me. You know what kind of feeling I am talking about. The kind of feeling that makes you think, WOW! I am NOT happy! I am ready God, just HELP me find something that fulfills me! I am ready to go, I am motivated, I am ready to succeed! That’s right, nothing can make you more motivated to succeed then a bunch of people acknowledging you just failed… BOOooo…

As I write sometimes I forget the main reason for telling you all of this, so let me hit that point right now:)

To sum it up, in 2008 I lost just under one million dollars worth of “net worth”. I was 22 years old at the time, and well.. I guess I felt like I had arrived because they always say as soon as you act like that… God throws you a fat curve ball… BoooOOoo.. haha

But nothing is sweeter then success-

What do you think I did next? I would love to take your guess, but I am going to tell you right now!

One morning in 2009, I woke up, and the idea was already there. I rolled my butt out of bed, and I sat down at my computer. I looked at the screen, and I said it out loud to myself…

“People all over the world are making money online, and not just a little bit either.. they are getting rich, and wealthy, and if they can wake up every single day and get rich, and get wealthy online… well.. then I am going to do that too!”

Now, keep in mind that I woke up, rolled out of bed, looked at my computer screen, and said that out loud.. IN 2009!  For a whole year after losing everything, I worked my butt off once again trying to earn a buck for myself. Trust me when I say this… Making your money work for you, is SOOOOO SO SO SO MUCH EASIER THEN WORKING FOR YOUR MONEY! haha That goes double for using your mind to think up good ideas! We call that working smart!

My Best “Moment” in business yet!

Today, as I am writing this article-post on one of my many many websites. I can honestly say that this is one of my moments. Would you like to know why?

Well, this is simple, right now is a very amazing moment because I have once again “arrived”.. Don’t worry, I am not scared to say that! I will say that out loud any day of the week now! The first time I said it and I lost everything was a real blessing. I just didn’t see it right away.. But now I do!

I found that answer! I figured it out for myself! I know what it is like to wake up in the morning and BE one of those people.. The people that sit down at there computer, and check their bank accounts, and watch the money pile in! I know what it is like to lose everything, and if you are in this situation right now, then I want you to know that there is an answer looking you RIGHT in the face! All you have to do is follow your thinking to a solution.  If you do that, then it is very possible to wake up one day, sit down at YOUR computer, and see numbers:)!!! I call them comfort numbers because I know I will be ok when I see them, so they comfort me!

For those of you wondering what it is that I do, you can take a look at the ” The review junkies” tab on this website.  I promise you right now I would never offer you something that is going to affect you in a negative way. I wouldn’t ever do that, I know what it is like to have that done to me, and I didn’t appreciate it at all one bit!

And for the record, after I sat down at my computer that FAITHFUL morning, it took me 4 months to earn my first $1,200 dollar month! If those numbers look good to you, or you need to make some passive income! Keep looking around this site, and you will get some great ideas!
